Job Description

Assist in the conceptualization, development, and execution of a menu celebrating regional German dishes – from Weißwurst to Schweinshaxe, Pretzels to Sauerkraut, and more.
- Maintain authenticity of preparation, flavor, and presentation while optimizing for Dubai’s dining landscape.
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, quality control, hygiene, and HACCP compliance.
- Ensure smooth service flow during high-volume events such as Oktoberfest and other cultural celebrations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on traditional German cooking methods, recipes, and plating standards.
- Oversee mise-en-place, stock levels, and inventory related to German culinary components.
- Collaborate closely with the Beverage Manager to deliver cohesive food & beer pairings and festive promotions.
- Take ownership of station-level performance, including consistency, timeliness, and teamwork.
- Support sourcing efforts for authentic ingredients and maintain strong vendor relations for specialized German products.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience, with at least 2 years focused on authentic German or Central European cuisine.
- Proven track record in German dining outlets, Oktoberfest kitchens, or German food festivals.
- Solid foundation in both traditional and contemporary Bavarian cooking techniques.
- Familiar with large-volume service, buffet setups, and à la carte operations.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution.
- Strong communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about delivering high-quality food experiences.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and contribute creatively.
