Now Hiring: Junior Staff Accountant (Full-Time) Newport Harbor Yacht Club (NHYC) Newport Harbor Yacht Club is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our team full-time. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to grow within a premier private club known for exceptional hospitality and service. Position Overview: The Junior Staff Accountant will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting within a hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing * Support member billing and collections * Perform data entry, account reconciliations, and journal entries * Assist with month-end close and financial reporting * Maintain accurate financial records and documentation * Respond to internal and member billing inquiries in a professional manner Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree and or min 3 years in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress) * 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred * Hospitality or service industry experience is a plus * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software * Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset Why Join NHYC? * Beautiful waterfront work environment * Supportive team with growth opportunities * Exposure to a high-end private club operation * Competitive pay and benefits Compensation: $55,000 – $65,000 annually, depending on experience If you are looking to grow your accounting career in a dynamic and professional hospitality setting, we encourage you to apply.
