ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Jr. Underwriter to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in evaluating merchant applications, identifying risk factors, and ensuring compliance with internal and sponsor-bank guidelines. In communication with partners, you will help to guide them through the underwriting process while delivering excellent service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and evaluate merchant onboarding applications for completeness, accuracy, and risk exposure
• Review deals to request and clarify required documentation
• Analyze business models, websites, financials, and processing history to assess underwriting risk
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and sales teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process
• Apply appropriate underwriting criteria in line with card brand rules and sponsor bank policies
• Maintain detailed records and ensure CRM and internal tracking systems are kept up to date
• Coordinate follow-ups and escalate high-risk or complex cases to senior underwriting or risk teams
• Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and internal underwriting policies
