Duties:
The Judicial Assistant provides administrative support services to Judges of the Court of King’s Bench of Manitoba as assigned. Key duties include: preparing instructions to the jury and jury charges, processing the judgments of the court including proofreading and researching legal texts for references to citations and quotations, maintaining filing systems and responding to inquiries from various stakeholders. The incumbent will also coordinate meetings and make travel arrangements, prepare expense claims, assist the judiciary, court staff, government departments, legal profession and the public in a professional manner while applying the appropriate level of discretion. The incumbent works primarily independently and with minimum supervision, but also works with a team of colleagues who support one another.
