Description

Are you a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a passion for numbers? We are looking for a Junior Accountant with Contruction/ Contracting Industry background.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Junior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, tracking accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations. You’ll coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to streamline invoicing processes and support smooth financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (mandatory).
  • 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships/fresh graduates with strong aptitude may be considered).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic formulas).
  • Familiarity with UAE VAT and tax invoicing procedures.
  • Experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and ERP/accounting systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, record, and track accounts receivable; report to the Credit Control Team.
  • Prepare and periodically share collection schedules with the collection team.
  • Monitor and track bank guarantees issued to contractors.
  • Prepare and process tax invoices in line with UAE VAT regulations.
  • Ensure timely deposit of Post-Dated Cheques (PDCs) to the bank.
  • Work closely with the QS department to process Payment Applications (PAs).
