JOB OVERVIEW

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, auditing, payroll processing, budgeting, and financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining financial records and preparing journal entries.
  • Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliation, to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Support corporate finance activities by assisting in budget preparation and financial analysis.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, PeopleSoft, Sage, and other tools for efficient data management.
  • Participate in auditing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members on various financial projects and initiatives.
  • Perform inventory audits and assist with inventory controls
  • Create/write/deposit cheques and process other payment methods
