Playground is an internationally renowned gaming destination located a short 15-minute drive south of downtown Montreal, within the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake. We are currently expanding, unveiling new gaming floors, a luxurious hotel, and specialized dining options.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the efficient functioning of our accounting department. You will work alongside a dynamic team and have the opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bilingual (French/English) - English is essential
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience
- Knowledge of financial and cost accounting
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software (Google Suite or Microsoft Office)
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Able to work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results
- Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping
- Prepare bank entries
- Purchasing invoice entry
- Digital scanning and filing of documents
- Other administrative tasks as required
