Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are a rapidly growing and forward-thinking finance consultancy in Central London, looking for a confident and capable Junior Accountant to join our expanding team. This is a newly created position due to continued growth, offering variety, progression, and the chance to work closely with clients to influence real business decisions.
Operating as an virtual finance function, we support a range of SME clients across sectors. The bulk of our clients are dynamic hospitality businesses in London. This role is far more than standard accounting — it’s about helping clients understand what their numbers mean and guiding their decision-making.

The company culture revolves around cooperation and working as a team but also having fun, so it is essential you enjoy working closely with others and value colleague relationships.
This role is to start ASAP but we would be happy to be flexible for the right candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll help support the Senior Accountants on a portfolio of clients, supported by junior team members, and be involved in both technical work and client engagement:

  • Preparation of monthly and weekly P&Ls
  • Cashflow forecasting, management, and analysis
  • Month-end close and reconciliations
  • Preparation of year-end accounts and corporation tax workings
  • Reviewing balance sheets and highlighting areas for discussion
  • Liaising directly with clients to obtain relevant information and provide clear, proactive communication
  • Support junior team members in their transactional work, stepping in where necessary
  • Preparation and review of client payment runs

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 1 years experience in an accounting role
  • Have started studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or AAT)
  • Be able to interpret financial information and spot issues
  • Be eager to learn and build their technical experience alongside studying
