Description LDI Mechanical, Inc. is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, and period-end closings. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of confidentiality, must have strong analytical skills, have a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to accuracy. This individual must be able to display strong organizational skills, manage time well and present honesty and integrity within this role. · Perform general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP · Conduct daily and monthly cash flow reviews and monitor variances · Maintain and update records of taxes, liabilities, assets, and other financial data · Assist with month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals · Assist with job-cost tracking, including labor, materials, overhead, and subcontractor costs · Coordinate and process quarterly on-site inventory counts · Inventory forecasting by analyzing historical data, production schedules, and demand projections · Perform job-cost audits to ensure costs are properly allocated, documented, and compliant with company policies · Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and project management teams to ensure accurate cost capture · Assist with reconciling monthly bank statements, preparing and filing sales and use tax returns and record payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts · Assist with audits, reporting, and other finance-related projects as needed · Prepare and update various spreadsheets · Assist and cross train with payroll duties as needed · Assist with other accounting projects as assigned Requirements 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships welcome) Basic knowledge of GAAP principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software a plus Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience with Open Systems Accounting software is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus Interest in professional development and career growth Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision, Voluntary life and Voluntary AD&D, paid vacation, sick and holiday pay, 401k plan with employer match
