POSITION OVERVIEW

The primary role of the Junior Accountant is to assist with preparing financial statements, annual budgets and general accounting and production support. The Junior Accountant will accomplish this primary role by working collaboratively with the Plant Controller.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong initiative and interest in proving meaningful information to managers to drive business optimization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum one (1) year relevant financial accounting experience
• Internship or co-op experience welcome
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with D365 or similar ERP systems is a significant asset.
• Strong academic background and interest in pursuing a CPA designation is an asset
