OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their accounting skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. The Junior Accountant will assist in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting various accounting functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
  • AR and AP experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Experience with Excel pivot tables a must

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger accounting system.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor and report on financial health.
  • Support tax preparation processes by gathering necessary documentation and information.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with LIHTC regulations.
  • Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks, including data entry and reporting.
  • Analyze debits and credits to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Provide mentorship to interns or new team members as needed.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
