JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, preparing payroll, supporting internal financial reporting, and performing financial analysis to contribute to strategic planning and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Financial Management

  • Record daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger entries. Ensure accurate verification, allocation, and posting of financial data.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payroll in coordination with HR, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE labor laws.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and tax regulations; prepare and file relevant tax returns.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure timely collection of payments in line with agreed credit terms.
  • Maintain and reconcile cash and bank transactions.
  • Prepare reports for accruals, prepaid expenses, and other period-end adjustments.
  • Provide weekly and monthly financial summaries to management.
  1. Financial Analysis
  • Conduct financial analysis and build financial models to support business decisions.
  • Research and report on market trends and competitor activity.
  1. Reporting
  • Prepare reports analyzing key financial indicators, including Net Profit Margin, Cash Flow, and operational metrics.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze balance sheets, income statements, and revenue reports.
  1. Data & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Track resource allocation by project and department.
  1. Collaboration
  • Work closely with finance and operations teams to align accounting activities with business objectives.
  • Monitor project costs and timelines.
  • Contribute to evaluations of department- and project-level productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 2–3 years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, ZohoBooks)
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
