SUMMARY

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team at National Jets. The Junior Accountant supports the daily operations of the accounting department by processing financial transactions, assisting with account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in core accounting functions while contributing to the financial health of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or actively pursuing degree).
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience; internship experience accepted.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Business Central or similar) preferred.
  • Certifications such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, or Certified Bookkeeper are a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide requested documentation.
  • Maintain organized accounting files and records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Must consistently report to work as scheduled and comply with company attendance policies; may require additional hours during month-end, quarter-end, year-end close, and audit cycles.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
