Junior Accountant – Business Services

Brisbane CBD | $60,000 – $70,000 + Super


Are you a Junior Accountant looking to build your tax experience while gaining genuine client exposure early in your career?


We’re partnering with a well-established accounting firm in Brisbane CBD that is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join its growing team.


This is a great opportunity to develop both your technical and client-facing skills within a supportive team, with the chance to take on more complex work and responsibility as you progress.


The Opportunity You’ll work across a broad range of tax and accounting matters while getting direct client exposure from early on, including the opportunity to conduct one-on-one client meetings and build relationships with your own clients.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing individual and sole trader income tax returns
  • Conducting client meetings and liaising directly with clients
  • Preparing and reviewing BAS and other tax compliance work
  • Assisting with financial statements and workpapers
  • Assisting with tax returns for trusts and companies
  • Identifying potential tax issues and opportunities
  • Taking on more complex work as your experience develops

About You To be successful, you’ll ideally have:

  • 6 months – 2 years’ experience within Australian public practice accounting
  • A relevant Accounting degree, or currently completing your studies
  • Some experience preparing individual income tax returns
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • A willingness to ask questions, take on feedback and continue learning
  • An interest in commencing CA studies in the future
