Our busy client in Calgary is currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join their established team for a full time opportunity.
As the Junior Accountant, your day to day responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
Assist in preparing bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and balanced
Record journal entries and maintain general ledger transactions
Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, including tracking expenses, invoices, payments, and payroll records
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation and submission of financial reports
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
Support audit processes by providing required reports and documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting regulations
Other Ad Hoc Duties
Advance your career as a Junior Accountant with our client. The successful Junior Accountant will possess the following
Previous experience as a Junior Accountant or in a similar accounting role
Familiarity with Sage 100 (considered a strong asset)
First-rate accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software
