Description

As a Junior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency while contributing to process improvements and insightful financial analysis. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) while ensuring accuracy through regular reconciliations of vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Record-Keeping & Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and databases, and conduct monthly general ledger reviews to verify correct postings.
  • Month-End & Year-End Close: Support the timely and precise completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee IRS Form 1099 reporting requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant tax and accounting regulations.
  • Audit Support: Assist in both internal and external audits by gathering necessary documentation and providing detailed financial schedules.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Process invoices, manage payment collections, and oversee reconciliation efforts to keep transactions running smoothly.
  • Internal Controls & Risk Management: Help establish and uphold financial controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Technology & Automation: Leverage accounting software and digital tools to streamline financial reporting, enhance efficiency, and improve overall accounting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, or currently pursuing
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years experience in accounting field
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermedicate to advance Excel skills required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of accuracy with a good eye for detail
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and dynamic enviroment
  • In-office position required Monday through Friday during standard business hours
