Prasad & Company LLP is currently looking for accounting students to join our team for May 2025,
as Junior Accountants . With a strong belief that success comes from within, our Firm focuses on the growth and development of all team members. Our Junior Accountants are exposed to a variety of projects including tax, assurance (notice to readers, audits) and bookkeeping. Our Partners and staff accountants provide an excellent learning environment in order to ensure each student receives training and mentorship.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business Administration (Accounting or Finance major preferred) or similar program.
  • Working towards all necessary prerequisites for admission into the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA), Professional Education Program (PEP).
  • Enrolled in the Co-op program at your post-secondary institution.
  • Previous accounting related office experience is an asset.
  • Customer service and/or client service experience is desirable.
  • Experience working with, or exposure to, accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, Profile, TaxPrep, TaxCycle, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting is beneficial.Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the preparation of compilation, review, and audit engagements.
  • Assisting the Tax Department with the preparation of personal tax returns (T1s), corporate tax returns (T2s), trust returns (T3s), T4s, T5s and HST/GST returns.Ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by staff accountants.
