Your role as Junior Accounts/Accounts Payable involves providing financial, administrative and clerical support whenever needed. Your role is to complete payments and control expenses by receiving , processing, verifying, reconciling and the correct costing of invoices in your day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner. This also includes the management and recording/reviewing of sales records and payroll records, recording journal entries, reviewing and reconciling bank/credit card statements, and maintaining bank account and credit card balances.

As a vital team member of the accounting team you would be:

• Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
• Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Reviewing expense reports, and reconciling credit cards/bank statements
• Maintaining historical records
• Paying employees bi-weekly and verifying expense reports and preparing checks
• Paying vendors/employees by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding balances; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance
• Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports for our Gastropub
• Continuing to improve the margins by giving suggestions at weekly meetings with the team
• Report to Senior Accountant

EXCELLENT WRITTEN, SPOKEN AND COMPREHENSION SKILLS IN ENGLISH ARE MANDATORY
