JOB SUMMARY:

An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. They work with a team to prepare financial statements, perform account reconciliations, maintain general ledgers, and support budget processes. The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency with financial software.

• Financial Recordkeeping and Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Record all financial transactions accurately in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
• Review and reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable:
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely payment and collection.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts in accordance with company policies.
• Follow up with clients and vendors regarding overdue payments and manage any discrepancies.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvements.
• Track variances between actual and budgeted financial results
• Internal Controls and Auditing:
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Support external and internal auditors during financial audits and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS, as applicable).
• Financial Analysis and Recommendations:
• Perform financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Identify trends, anomalies, or potential financial risks and suggest corrective actions.
• Collaborate with management to ensure financial goals are aligned with the company’s objectives.
