Job Title: Junior Accountant Company: triOS College Location: Hybrid, 2360 Meadowpine Blvd, Mississauga, ON Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Start Date: Immediate End Date: December 31, 2025 The Opportunity: The Junior Accountant is responsible for managing and reconciling payment transactions, maintaining financial trackers, processing receipts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records across multiple campuses. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient financial operations. What you'll be doing: year-end Coding and entering accounts payable/expense invoices. Handling vendor enquiries. Scheduling and processing payments of accounts payable. Filing of accounts payable. Calling vendors with credit card payments and processing of these in the accounting system (including management of spreadsheets). Reconcile and process employee expense reports. Reconcile purchase orders with invoices. Process student refunds in ERP and in the online banking portal. Administer corporate credit card program. Assisting with audit requirements at year-end. Month-end closing of payables and running reports. Scheduling vendor payments for approval by the Controller. Reconcile vendor statements to accounts payable sub-ledgers. Assist other accounting team members. What you bring to the position: High school graduate. Intermediate accounting knowledge (high school accounting plus a minimum of two (2) college accounting courses). A college diploma in accounting is preferred. Minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar capacity. Good analytical skills. Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Excellent business communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Basic bookkeeping skills. Proficient in the use of computerized accounting software and MS Office (Excel). Basic mathematics.
