JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with expertise in Accounts Receivable and Payables and a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The ideal candidate will have experience managing accounting functions across multiple institutions and supporting the setup of new sites in different jurisdictions. Additionally, this role will oversee two accounting staff while assisting in financial reporting, cost analysis, and compliance to ensure efficient and smooth financial operations across all locations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including cost management accounting and multi-institutional accounting.
  • Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting in an industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and multi-site financial reporting.
  • Experience in assisting with financial setup, compliance, and reporting for new locations is an asset.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Epicor Manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide cost insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in multi-location financial reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate financial data clearly across different business units.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA designation (or actively working toward CPA).
  • Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of inventory accounting, cost allocation, and variance analysis.
