SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1 Co-Op term experience related to accounting and assurance
  • 1 year of customer service experience

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of a University Accounting degree
  • Working towards obtaining their Canadian CPA designation.
  • Basic understanding of IFRS, ASPE, CAS and Canadian Tax
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients.
  • Possess strong project management skills and organization, with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software such as Quickbooks, Caseware, Jazz-it, Tax Prep and Simply Accounting
Responsibilities
  • Works on different sections of audit files, as assigned and under the direction of senior and intermediate staff
  • Understands technical standards with the expected level of assistance and supervision
  • Ability to recognize relevant accounting and audit issues from basic analysis
  • Builds effective working relationships in assignments with operational client contacts.
  • Responds effectively and efficiently to client, manager and partner requests
  • Provides valuable suggestions and contributions related to various assignments
  • Works on “In house” assignments such as accounting research or office administration
  • Maintains technical knowledge – IFRS, ASPE, CAS - by: attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; and establishing personal networks
  • Other tasks as needed.
