Description
Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-obsessed Junior Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone looking to start their career in accounting and learn the ropes from the ground up. Your main mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help our accounting department run smoothly by ensuring our financial records are accurate and up-to-date. You'll be handling the fundamental (and critical) tasks that keep our finances in check. We're looking for someone who loves it when the numbers add up. Core Responsibilities Accounts Payable (A/P): Assist with processing invoices, matching them to purchase orders, and preparing batches for payment. You're the gatekeeper before money goes out. Accounts Receivable (A/R): Help prepare and send out customer invoices, record incoming payments, and follow up (politely) on any outstanding accounts. Data Entry: Accurately enter financial transactions into our accounting software Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. This is the backbone of everything we do, so precision is key. Reconciliations: Assist in reconciling bank statements and credit card statements, investigating, and resolving any discrepancies. Think of it as financial detective work. Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, making sure they follow company policy (and that all receipts are accounted for). General Support: Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and maintaining organized financial records. You'll be a crucial support pillar for the entire team. What You Bring (Qualifications) Required: High school diploma or equivalent. A genuine knack for numbers and basic understanding of accounting principles. High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. You should be comfortable with spreadsheets (pivot tables are a huge plus!). Exceptional attention to detail. Did you spot the typo in the last sentence? (There isn't one, but you probably double-checked. That's the spirit.) Strong organizational and time-management skills. Integrity and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Preferred (Bonus Points): Associate's degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central would be a major asset Previous internship or 1+ year of experience in a similar role (even data entry helps). What We Offer A competitive entry-level salary and benefits package. A place to build a career—we believe in promoting from within. Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced accounting professionals. Hybrid work environment Salary Range: $40,000-$50,000 About Our Team At Intouch Insight, you will be joining a team that is passionate about working with customers and experienced in the implementation of customer experience management (CX) programs to help our customers create positive user experiences.
