Job Description Project Context HomeCom Easy is a mobile application developed by Bosch that enables users to remotely control compatible heating, air conditioning, and and hot water systems. Designed for convenience and energy efficiency, the app provides an intuitive interface to manage home climate via smartphone or tablet. Key features include temperature adjustment, custom scheduling for heating and hot water, real-time system status monitoring, energy consumption insights, and push notifications for system faults or maintenance needs. The application connects users directly with their preferred service technicians, supporting effortless comfort control and optimized energy usage. Key Responsibilities Support the development of native Android applications for Connectivity products (e.g. intelligent room thermostats), based on product and process requirements; Participate in requirements clarification and solution discussions with local and remote developers, suppliers, and customers; Contribute to the creation of software prototypes, including development and integration of individual software components; Design, document, and implement software according to defined architectures and guidelines; Support the design and implementation of unit tests and UI tests; Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development and maintenance processes; Work as part of an internationally distributed Agile software development team. Qualifications Education & Background Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field. Technical Skills Basic to intermediate experience in Android development using Kotlin; Understanding of Android platform architecture; Familiarity with common Android design patterns (e.g. MVP, MVVM); Understanding of UI/UX design principles applied to Android applications; Basic knowledge of unit and UI testing (e.g. JUnit, Espresso); Ability to understand and design software using UML; Familiarity with configuration and project management tools, preferably Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence). Personal Skills Good communication skills and proficiency in English; Willingness to learn, take responsibility for own tasks, and show initiative in problem solving; Strong product-oriented and customer-focused mindset; Team player with a proactive, dynamic, and collaborative attitude; Willingness to travel occasionally, if required.
