SKILLS

• A willingness to learn, troubleshoot, and provide excellent customer service.
• Any mechanical, electrical, or HVAC knowledge an asset.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and able to assemble and disassemble various types of appliances
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization

REQUIREMENTS

• Clean driving record with minimum of Class 5 BC Drivers License (will drive company vehicle)
• Travel required in the Lower Mainland
• Clean record of employment, no criminal history
  Full time position, hourly wage commiserate with experience plus performance incentive pay. Health & Dental Benefits included.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• Any electrical or gas appliance repair certificate an asset
• Grade 12 English or equivalent, speaking and writing skills - mandatory

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The applicant will be responsible for entry level appliance maintenance and service repair, as well as machine refurbishment in shop and warehouse. This role includes traveling in the Lower Mainland.
Successful applicants can expect to be trained on appliance repair and refurbishment, with a possible path towards acquiring new skills, certifications, and promotion.
Position includes: Access to service vehicle fully equipped with power tools, spare parts etc. Basic hand tools are to be supplied by applicant. List of hand tools required will be provided by EM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Shop duties including crating, machine detailing, and machine refurbishment.
• Support local appliance repair and maintenance. Diagnose issues with appliances and determine the appropriate repair methods.
• Perform repairs on a wide range of appliances, including ovens, proofers, mixers, dough moulding machines, and other bakery appliances.
• Learn to read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems effectively.
• Assemble and disassemble appliances as needed for repairs or maintenance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair processes and timelines and payments
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used during repairs and detail reports in company ERP systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing all tasks.
• Stay updated on the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques.
