TITLE: JUNIOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER

The Georgia Tech Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1932. The mission of the Foundation, its Board of Trustees, Officers and staff is to foster and manage gifts in support of academic excellence in the spirit and traditions of the Georgia Institute of Technology. The Foundation is entrusted to:

  • Promote the cause of higher education in the State of Georgia
  • Receive and manage financial donations received by the Foundation for support and enhancement of the Georgia Institute of Technology
  • Assist the Georgia Institute of Technology in its role as a leading educational and research institution.

Position:
The Georgia Tech Foundation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Application Developer to join our IT team. In this role, you will assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications and integrations that support the Foundation’s mission of fostering the advancement of Georgia Institute of Technology. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional looking to grow their career in software development within a collaborative and impactful organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in application development or relevant internships/projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills with an emphasis on being able to work well in a team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Python, ASP.NET C# and/or VB.NET.
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Django).
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
  • Knowledge of Constituent Management Systems (preferably Blackbaud CRM)
  • Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrations.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform – Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles.
  • Interest or experience in the non-profit or higher education sector.

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
