Job Summary: We are seeking a Junior Application Specialist to join our technical team. While this position covers a range of application support responsibilities, the primary focus will be on post processor development and virtual machine simulation. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, grow, and build a career in advanced manufacturing technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test CNC post processors and virtual machine models (primary responsibility).
  • Collaborate with application specialists and customers to gather requirements and validate results.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and optimizing post processors for accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Document work processes and maintain version control.
  • Learn to troubleshoot, optimize, and document post processors for accuracy and reliability.
  • Support general application-related tasks (software configuration, customer support, training assistance) as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training to gain expertise in Tebis CAD/CAM software and CNC technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Basic understanding of CNC machining processes and G-code/M-code.
  • Familiarity with at least one CAD/CAM system (e.g., Tebis, Mastercam, HyperMill, NX, Fusion 360, etc.).
  • Interest in programming or scripting (e.g., BASIC, Python, C++, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and take on technical challenges.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Prior exposure to CNC machines, either in school, internships, or shop floor environments.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software beyond classroom projects.
  • Knowledge of major CNC controllers (e.g., Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain).
  • Strong communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
