McBride Homes has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and talented Junior Architect to join our dynamic team! McBride is Missouri’s largest home builder and is an industry leader in residential new home construction. With 1,008 closings in 2024, McBride now ranks as the 69th largest builder in the country.
As a Junior Architect, you will assist with the design, development, and execution of residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential architecture while working alongside professionals on diverse and exciting projects. This is an in-office position working in our new state-of-the-art facility in Chesterfield Valley.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar.
  • Knowledge of residential design principles and building codes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous internship or work experience in residential design is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of residential home plans, layouts, and elevations.
  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
  • Collaborate with senior architects to refine and implement design ideas.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design compliance.
  • Help prepare presentations, mood boards, and design renderings for client meetings.
  • Assist with permit applications and construction documentation.
