The Oak Barn is currently one of the Top-Rated Fresh Food Restaurants in Sussex. It is a Privately Owned, Family Run, 150 Cover Restaurant & Bar, situated close to Haywards Heath & Burgess Hill.

EXPERIENCE:

· Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is desirable.
· Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
· Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
· A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers & provide excellent customer service
  • Take food & beverage orders accurately & deliver to customers
  • Answer questions about our menus & make recommendations
  • Cash handling, keep track of receipts & gratuities, cashing up at the end of the business day
  • Opening & closing the business
  • Support the Senior Management team in daily operations and decision making
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, health & safety standards
  • Training our waiting staff to a high standard & maintain these standards
  • Hosting & expediting shifts to ensure smooth running
  • Help organise special events
  • Create & post social media content
  • Setting tables & rearranging the dining area to accommodate for larger bookings/special occasions
