Junior Associate ‐ Finance Operations (BASED AT MAS LEGATO MALABE) MAS Legato is the Shared Services arm of MAS Holdings, focused on offering Finance and HR services across the organization. The time and operational efficiencies created through a shared services platform makes MAS Legato a critical component of MAS, as a future-ready organization. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual for a 1-year contract to execute debt recovery within the set credit period of all SBUs under purview and ensure identification of discrepancies for delayed receipts and drive the corrective actions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Carry out credit payable activities and ensure proper mechanisms are put in place to settle money within the set credit period. * Achieve monthly KPIs of the respective finance team for assigned SBUs in order to meet organizational demands. * Execute recovery activities and ensure proper follow-up mechanisms are put in place to recover money within the set credit period. * Ensure discrepancies are followed up and resolved prior to the month end closure. Maintain proper documentation of follow up efforts. * Ensure receipts are cleared in keeping with the SLA and SOPs are kept up to date. * Active involvement in knowledge sharing initiatives within the department. * Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives within the department, whilst suggesting and implementing same. * Support team with audit requirements and ensure they are fulfilled to meet business demands. * Provide necessary management information reports for decision making. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * Pursuing a degree or diploma in Finance, Finance & Accounting, or Management, or a professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CA or an equivalent qualification. * 6 months experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis would be an added advantage. * Good communication skills with proficiency in MS Excel.
