The Junior Bartender is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a professional and efficient manner. The role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and supporting senior bartenders in the smooth operation of the bar.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not required (entry-level position).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest service.
  • Knowledge of basic drink recipes and cocktail preparation (training provided).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bartending or mixology certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local and international drink trends.
  • Multilingual skills are an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Drink Preparation: Assist in preparing and serving drinks, ensuring quality and consistency as per the menu or customer requests.
  • Customer Service: Greet guests, take drink orders, and provide personalized service to ensure a positive and memorable experience.
  • Bar Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including cleaning bar tools, glasses, and work surfaces.
  • Stock Management: Assist in stocking the bar with necessary supplies, check inventory levels, and report any low stock to the Bar Manager.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and approachable manner, offering recommendations and up-selling drinks where appropriate.
  • Cash Handling: Process guest payments accurately and handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions in line with company procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, including checking ID for age verification and ensuring guests are served responsibly.
  • Learning and Development: Continuously develop bartending skills and knowledge of drinks, cocktails, and hospitality standards.
