Nestled in the heart of a welcoming residential community, Salon 26 is a growing, vibrant salon known for delivering high-quality treatments with a personal touch. While small in size, our team is rich in experience — each member specialising in different areas of beauty, offering a unique opportunity for you to learn hands-on from a diverse group of passionate experts.

Wed- 11am-5pm
Thurs- 12pm-7pm
Fri- 11am-5pm
Sat 10am-1pm
(Monday will be a set college day which is paid to attend)
Key responsibilities:

As a Junior Beauty Technician, you will play an active and valued role in the daily running of the salon while developing essential skills to build your career in the beauty industry. Your responsibilities will include:

• Shadowing and learning from experienced therapists, observing a wide range of treatments and client interactions to build confidence and professional know-how.
• Supporting the team in preparing and tidying treatment rooms, ensuring every space is clean, welcoming, and fully equipped to salon standards.
• Assisting with reception duties, including answering phone calls, booking appointments, and delivering a friendly and professional client experience.
• Helping to maintain the cleanliness and overall presentation of the salon, taking pride in creating a calm and polished environment for clients and staff.
• Attending external training courses to work towards your accredited beauty qualifications, supported and encouraged by the team.
• Practicing beauty treatments under supervision, building practical skills in line with your training and growing responsibilities.
• Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the salon, offering support wherever needed as a valued team member.
• Acting as a positive ambassador for Salon 26, both in and outside of work — representing our brand with professionalism, warmth, and pride, and consistently upholding the high standards we’re known for.

Qualifications required:

To be eligible for this apprenticeship opportunity, candidates should have:

• GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 9–4 / A–C (or equivalent*) * A strong interest in beauty therapy, with a commitment to working towards a Level 2 or Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience (formal or informal) in a salon, spa, or customer-facing environment * Completion of NVQ Level 1 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent introductory beauty training

Pay: £7.55-£10.00 per hour
