Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented Part-Time and Full Time Junior accountant to collaborate to support the business operations. The ideal candidate has good understanding of Australian accounting standard with attention to details and the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Job Responsibilities: responsible for supporting all tasks in preparing AR AP and payroll activities.

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
  • Prepare invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
  • Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Payroll Responsibilities

  • Collect timesheets: Gather employee timesheets and calculate hours worked
  • Calculate pay: Calculate employee paychecks, deductions, and benefits using payroll software
  • Maintain records: Update employee records, organize payroll files, and document severance pays
  • Report on expenses: Prepare reports on payroll expenses and employee issues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with Australian accounting standard
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
