Description:
Our growing jewellery company has been trading for 24 years, specialising in gold, diamonds, and jewellery sales. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and well-organised Bookkeeper to join our team in our Sydney Branch for a long-term position.
Job Description: As our Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth financial operations, and supporting the overall success of our jewelry business. You will work closely with our team to handle a variety of financial tasks. Please note you’ll be asked to come into our Sydney office and we are NOT looking for remote work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, ideally in a retail or jewellry/pawnbroker environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Reliable, Trustworthy and Honest
- Must be available to work at least 1 day a week, Live close by SYD CBD
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping/transactions processing.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, debtors, creditors, etc.
- Manage Payroll/Staff wages, processing and associated records.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Prepare other financial reports when required.
- Providing Administration support and perform various tasks and duties when required.
