We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home. Who The Client Is: The organization is entering a new phase of growth and change, with a strong focus on accountability, collaboration, and accurate operations. The role supports Australian payroll functions and requires solid experience in award interpretation to ensure compliance and consistency as the business evolves. Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeping Support professional with experience in the Australian market to assist with day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general bookkeeping processes and payroll support. Key Responsibilities: Process invoices and resolve any invoice discrepancies. Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. Monitor and maintain AR/AP aging items. Assist with billings and data entry related to financial transactions. Participate in month-end processes and reporting. Support overall bookkeeping and accounting functions as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting support within the Australian market. Experience with Australian tax and compliance requirements is a must Proficiency with Xero or similar accounting software. Solid understanding of AP/AR processes, invoicing, and bank reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a small finance team. Preferred Qualifications Experience in month-end accounting processes. Work Arrangement & Expectations: This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
