About the role:

The position is responsible for the gathering and documenting of technical, functional and design requirements from stakeholders and working closely with the development team to make sure all requests are delivered on time and to the specifications outlined by the stakeholders.

The Junior BA will be responsible for documenting and conducting UAT testing as well as ensuring that testing is performed by the relevant stakeholder.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Retail and other business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, system needs, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Analyse existing business processes, operational workflows, and reporting practices across areas including production, kitchen operations, meat processing, inventory management, and supply chain to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Evaluate business systems, processes, and data flows to identify opportunities for automation, enhanced reporting capabilities, and improved operational performance.
  • Analyse labour, sales, inventory, and financial data from systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), Power BI, Looker Studio, and Finance Data Cube to provide actionable insights for business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, business requirements documentation, process maps, and system documentation to support technology solutions and business improvements.
  • Work closely with system developers, data teams, and external vendors to translate business requirements into functional solutions and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Support the design, testing, implementation, and ongoing improvement of business systems, including preparation of test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Participate in system enhancement projects, including D365 F&O modules such as rebate management, demand planning, standard costing, inventory management, and financial reporting processes.
  • Conduct data analysis and develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Looker Studio to support Finance, Operations, and Leadership teams.
  • Monitor and analyse actual business performance against budgets, forecasts, and operational targets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support project planning activities by assisting with resource requirements, timelines, risk identification, and implementation activities for system and process improvement initiatives.
