SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Tertiary qualification in Fashion, Business or a related field.
• 2-5 years’ experience in buying, planning or product development within retail/wholesale.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate costs, payment terms, and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Strong interest in fashion trends, particularly accessories, footwear, and homewares.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data.
• Proficient in range planning, critical path management, and interpreting sales/margin data.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with proven cross-functional teamwork experience.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with retail systems advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to join our Buying team on a full-time, 8-month fixed term contract (maternity leave cover). You’ll support the delivery of commercially successful ranges across accessories, footwear, and homewares while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their buying career who has a keen eye for trends, a strong commercial mindset and a passion for product. You’ll work closely with the Design and Planning Team, helping to develop seasonal ranges, manage samples and supplier communications, analyse sales performance, and ensure product data is accurate and up to date.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver a compelling, trend-led, and commercially viable range across accessories, footwear and homewares, that aligns with the brand’s customer profile and quality standards.
• Manage the end-to-end buying process for assigned categories, including range planning, product selection, cost negotiations, and order placement.
• Liaise with suppliers on product samples, pricing, and approvals.
• Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships, fostering open communication to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Prepare weekly trade packs, reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Raise purchase orders and maintain product information in internal systems.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to drive product innovation and differentiation.
• Support product launches, photoshoots, and marketing briefs.
• Provide general administrative support to the Buying team.
