Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate who is looking for a new challenge with a passion for food within the wholesale industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing stock profile and generate suggested orders and ensuring manner and the stock level is aligned with the customer demand
  • Preparing excel order forms based on stock level, usages and forecast orders
  • Supporting the purchasing manager in international shipments from Far East and co-ordinating with customs clearance agent for any issues occurred
  • Liaising and co-ordinating with different departments and solving day-to-day issues
  • Assisting for new product setup forms in the system
  • Setting up promotion and special offer in the systems
  • Constructing different reports for the manager, management, and suppliers
  • Keying the purchase orders into the system before arrival of the delivery
  • Engaging with suppliers to ensure purchase orders are received per agreed delivery schedules and any supply issues are addressed in timely manner
  • Checking and resolving any price discrepancies and claim credit for damages or missing items from suppliers.
  • You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 39 hours weekly.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years-experience in a purchasing or accounts assistant role
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel etc.) MS, Outlook, ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Solution orientated approach to problem solving

Asia Market is a family run business, established in 1981. It is one of Ireland’s largest importer, retailer, wholesaler and distributor of Asian food products. We operate two supermarkets; one in Drury Street in central Dublin and one at our Ballymount Distribution Centre. We stock over 5,000 lines of products and import over 350 containers a year. We supply to the majority of Asian restaurants, shops, caterers and take-away’s in Ireland. Customers can take advantage of our delivery service where products are delivered throughout the Republic of Ireland using our dedicated fleet of vehicles.
