This is a manufacturing environment with purchasing office located in warehouse area. This role will work closely with Shipping/Receiving and will require a candidate that can assist with some physical labour as well, such as helping to unpack and place stock on shelves. This role is intended to progress into a more senior level role, working alongside a senior level associate that will train, mentor and prep you for advancement.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Post secondary education in Supply Chain, Business or Finance
· 0-2 years working experience in Purchasing role (new grads and entry level candidates welcome)
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Effective and engaging communication skills, with good ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
· Ability to learn and be mentored into more senior level role and responsibilities
· Computer proficiency in MS Office and experience on Business Vision is an asset
· Flexibility to assist with some physical work such as unpacking orders and placing stock on shelves
