THE OPPORTUNITY We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Junior Buyerto help shape our beautiful seasonal product ranges for our Katie Loxton brand. This role blends creativity with commercial thinking, supporting our mission to bring thoughtfully designed, trend-led gifting, accessories and lifestyle products to our global customers. Our Buying team works hard behind the brands to create inspiring collections that delight our customers and reflect our brand’s signature style. We partner closely with our internal talented Product Design and Merchandising teams as well as our trusted external suppliers to bring new products to life always with quality, innovation, and personalisation at the heart of everything we do. As a Junior Buyer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our seasonal product ranges across multiple product categories. You’ll make an impact by sharing valuable market insights, support pricing architecture and sourcing decisions, as well as ensuring smooth communication across teams to help drive our product strategy whilst adhering to the critical path. You will also have the opportunity in this role to coach and mentor junior members of the team to drive team success. If you’re confident working with suppliers, experienced partnering with Merchandising and Design, naturally tuned in to trends and the market, and have exceptional attention to detail, this could be the perfect position for you! The role is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. You'll enjoy the exciting buzz of our friendly office in Banbury, Oxfordshire three times a week on average with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days. This may increase to 5 days a week during peak periods such as sign off weeks. HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE Driving category and product strategies, ensuring processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with business goals. Shaping seasonal ranges by spotting market opportunities, proposing creative ideas, and collaborating with Design to develop product briefs. Negotiating costs and managing suppliers to achieve margin targets, quality standards, and timely delivery. Overseeing product sampling, approvals, and quality compliance to meet critical path deadlines and regulatory requirements. Managing accurate buying documentation, data sharing, and process improvements to support informed, efficient decisions. Collaborating across PR, Marketing, Creative, Web, VM, and Retail Ops to communicate product information clearly and consistently. Monitoring trends, competitor activity, and sales insights to inform pricing, sourcing, and product strategy. Coaching and supporting junior team members, promoting a positive, safe, and high-performing working environment. THE TALENT YOU'LL BRING Currently working at experienced/senior assistant buyer or junior buyer level within similar role within a retail or fashion environment. Strong commercial awareness and trend insight within fashion/lifestyle markets Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Confident negotiator and communicator Agile, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word Confident presenting ideas to stakeholders across departments Proactive team player with a desire to take ownership and drive results Solid knowledge of buying cycles and critical path management Excellent experience with supplier base management and cost negotiations is desirable PERFECTLY PACKAGED A £33,000 - £38,000 DOE 33 days holiday including bank holidays rising to 35 with length of service A broad benefits package including our staff favourite – a very generous staff discount across both our brands.
