We are looking for Junior Buyer / Merchandiser to join the team.

Responsibilities
  • Attend and actively participate in customer meetings; take comprehensive minutes, circulate notes, and ensure all action points are followed up in a timely manner.
  • Support demand planning by preparing sales forecasts, monitoring intake, and managing stock control, particularly for key accounts such as ASDA.
  • Maintain and update customer portals for both domestic and FOB (Free On Board) accounts, ensuring all product and order details are current and accurate.
  • Liaise with suppliers to track and chase pre-production (PP) and production samples; ensure all samples are received, checked, and submitted within agreed timelines.
  • Conduct thorough checks of sample specifications, including, labelling, packaging, and quality requirements, before submitting to customers.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and work closely with logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery; flag any potential delays and assist in resolving issues.
  • Arrange product testing with designated laboratories and follow up on test results; collaborate with the QC team to ensure all quality standards and compliance requirements are met.
  • Cross-reference ASDA administrative communications and vendor documentation with internal systems to ensure consistency and data accuracy.
  • Assist in comparing and negotiating product costs with multiple suppliers to achieve the best value while meeting margin targets.
  • Contribute to the seasonal range build by organizing product samples, coordinating product data, and assisting in the presentation of new collections.
  • Maintain and regularly update the critical path, highlighting risks and delays, and ensuring key milestones are met across all departments.
  • Follow up on Minimums, PINs (Product Identification Numbers), and WINs (line confirmations) to support smooth product onboarding and system setup.
  • Administer and update product attributes across internal and customer systems, ensuring full compliance with retail setup requirements.
  • Complete and submit NOM forms and other relevant documentation as required by the customer or compliance team.
  • Support the buying team with general administrative tasks including data entry, supplier communication, and file management.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support the buying strategy and identify potential opportunities or risks.
  • Assist with internal reporting by compiling product, pricing, and sales data to support decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate sample management processes including logging, storage, tracking, and sample returns.
