JOB OVERVIEW
This is an exciting time to join the Cardiology Department at Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The Cardiology Investigations Unit offers a full range of non-invasive Cardiology investigations, pacemaker implants, echocardiography and a cath lab. The unit is rapidly expanding to support more Cardiologists and more invasive services.
The Department currently supports 9 Cardiologists across the 2 sites.
We are seeking a Junior Cardiac Physiologist to join our busy team.
It is expected that the successful candidate will have a broad experience in non-invasive cardiology. They should be motivated, dynamic, looking to expand their experience and develop their career. They should have a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
Applications are encouraged from newly qualified Cardiac Physiologists.
The post involves rotation through all areas of the department; there will be opportunity to receive training in areas of non-invasive Cardiology and/or device implants.

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
To be part of a skilled team of Cardiac Physiologists, providing cardiac investigations for inpatients and outpatients.
The successful candidate will undertake routine clinical physiological tests on patients with direct supervision from senior colleagues.
Maintain discipline and standards of technical competency in the provision of non-invasive investigative services within the department.
To participate in advanced investigations with direct supervision from senior colleagues.
To provide factual report for all routine investigations under supervision to enable clinical decisions to be made by medical staff regarding patient treatment
The successful candidate will need to work in all areas of non-invasive diagnostic Cardiology Investigations across Epsom and St. Helier Hospitals
