Position - Junior Civil Engineer, Newark, NJ Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 40 hrs/week Duties: - Utilize advanced knowledge of the theory and practice of structural and civil engineering, - construction materials, engineering design and relevant regulatory requirements. - Conduct safety inspections of bridges and other structures. - Perform inspections using various advanced testing methods, mechanized access - machinery, climbing or diving equipment, and drones or sonar scanning devices. - Perform additional structural assessment-related duties as assigned or required. - Prepare detailed technical reports supported by engineering drawings to address among others, design deficiencies or environmental deterioration, and recommend specific remedial actions. - Recommend improvement of structural integrity and safety. Responsibilities

The Junior Civil Engineer will utilize advanced knowledge in structural and civil engineering to conduct safety inspections and perform assessments of bridges and other structures. They will prepare detailed technical reports and recommend improvements for structural integrity and safety.
