Position - Junior Civil Engineer, Newark, NJ Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 40 hrs/week Duties: - Utilize advanced knowledge of the theory and practice of structural and civil engineering, - construction materials, engineering design and relevant regulatory requirements. - Conduct safety inspections of bridges and other structures. - Perform inspections using various advanced testing methods, mechanized access - machinery, climbing or diving equipment, and drones or sonar scanning devices. - Perform additional structural assessment-related duties as assigned or required. - Prepare detailed technical reports supported by engineering drawings to address among others, design deficiencies or environmental deterioration, and recommend specific remedial actions. - Recommend improvement of structural integrity and safety.
