Junior Civil Engineer – Albany Based

Phoenix Civil is looking for a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join our team in Albany, Western Australia.
This is a great opportunity for an Albany local or someone already based in the Great Southern who wants to build their civil construction career while working close to home.
About the Role
Working alongside our Project Managers and site teams, you’ll gain hands-on experience across civil construction projects while developing your technical and project delivery skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with day-to-day engineering and project delivery activities
- Supporting site supervision, planning and coordination
- Quantity take-offs, cost tracking and progress reporting
- Assisting with QA documentation, ITPs and project records
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Coordinating with supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers
- Supporting surveying, set-out and site measurements where required
- Monitoring project progress, productivity and safety requirements
- Developing practical knowledge of civil construction from experienced team members
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds or is completing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Is based in Albany or the Great Southern region
- Has a genuine interest in civil construction and project delivery
- Is willing to learn and get involved both on site and in the office
- Has good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Is comfortable working as part of a practical, fast-moving project team
- Holds a current Australian driver’s licence
- Has Australian working rights
Previous civil construction experience is an advantage, but not essential. Graduates and engineers early in their careers are encouraged to apply.
