We are currently recruiting a Junior Supervisor to join our team. The Junior Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with construction operations including site supervision coverage, construction schedules, quality control, project start-ups, labour and equipment requirements and site visits, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A post-secondary diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering Technology, or other construction related fields, and or previous work experience
  • C.E.T. designation or equivalent combinations of technical training is an asset
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, the O.B.C. and in general the required standards applicable to the Ontario construction industry
  • Driver’s licence with clean abstract
  • Proficiency in MS Project is an asset
Responsibilities
  • Project manage and supervise small construction projects as required
  • Assist the Operations Manager in the day-to-day duties of construction operations, including, but not limited to scheduling, attending site meetings, performing site visits and quality control inspections, and purchasing.
  • Attend pre-bid and project start-up meetings as required
  • Liase with owners, subcontractors, consultants and engineers as required
  • Generate and maintain a master construction schedule for all projects, detailing crew and equipment requirements
  • Monitor field work, including contract work, to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications and codes.
  • Assist Project Managers & Coordinators with field research to resolve any design problems that may arise
  • Liase with Supervisors and Foremen on labour and equipment requests
  • Other related duties as required or assigned
