JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer (COBOL) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining application and technical architecture components while ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading a small team of developers, and adhering to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

TOP 3 CORE SKILLS:

AS400 RPG & COBOL: Proficiency in AS400 RPG and COBOL programming languages.
Remittance Application Knowledge: Experience in remittance applications and payment processing systems.
ALBON, SQL, and DB2: Strong expertise in ALBON, SQL, and DB2 database management systems.

OPTIONAL/GOOD-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience or knowledge of AS400 technologies.
• Familiarity with SWIFT and local RTGS applications.
• Ability to work independently with minimal assistance.
• Previous software development/programming experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills to break down complex problems into manageable solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in COBOL application development and AS400 technologies.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
