NIA has one of the best customer retention rates in the industry and has a well-established track record as an innovator in the areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR), specialized coverages, members services, and employee engagement.   Summary Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Director, the Junior Compliance Analyst is responsible for accurate and thorough completion of all assigned tasks in support of the service standards of AMS as they relate to Risk and Compliance for the organization. This position will contribute to the development, maintenance and implementation of Compliance and Risk related services and processes for compliance analysis in accordance with established standards. Job Duties * Coordinates with staff, state agencies and the risk department to ensure timely and efficient license acquisition and renewal. Ensures compliance with organization policies and government regulations * Run monthly renewal notices * Manages corporate documents on Risk Drive and in Teams and OneDrive * Assists with and tracks all Corporate Contracts * Support Compliance Analyst to manage Automobile Liability Insurance Reporting (ALIR) and Coverage Verifier Auto Liability Insurance Reporting (CV-ALIR) process, including troubleshooting errors received and working with Insurance Operations department to resolve issues * Assists with Auto Filings and Dram Shop filings * Supports production of Certified Copies of Policies as requested * Handle invoicing, coding and PaperSave entries * Upload Swiss Re Corporate Solutions (SRCS) weekly transmittal * Assist Compliance Manager with SRCS transmittal errors and troubleshooting * Assist Compliance Manager with SRCS status reports * Assist Compliance Manager with testing – including loss costs, rating factors, forms, etc. * Assist Compliance Manager with OFAC research * Majesco related projects as assigned by Compliance Manager or Compliance Director * Any other projects assigned by the Compliance Manager, Compliance Director or Chief Risk Officer Required Skills * Understanding of property and casualty insurance generally * Excellent communication skills, keenly developed attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and good overall general office skills * Ability to build relationships and work across all areas and departments and at all levels of positions within the organization * Strong organization skills, high energy, and customer service attitude necessary * Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. * Ability to think critically and problem-solve * Keenly developed attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and good overall general office skills. * Ability to model and should uphold appropriate professional boundaries in working with cross departments and/or external constituents * Interest and commitment to the mission of the organization * Commitment to Inspired Service * Ability to work in a paperless environment * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, reach, or sit for up to 3 hours at a time. * The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. * Must have adequate vision (with corrective lenses if needed) to clearly view computer screen * Must have adequate hearing to perform tasks * Type 35-50 net words per minute * MS Word, Excel, Outlook, or similar personal computer software experience required. * Minimum of 3 years clerical-office and/or equivalent experience * Minimum of 1 years in commercial insurance industry * College degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a hybrid position and will require partial on-site work at our Santa Cruz, CA headquarters.
