We are hiring! LAND Research Lab is looking for a passionate candidate who enjoys working with environmental modelling and analysis. The selected candidate will play a key role in climate-resilient planning by conducting environmental modelling, running climate simulations, and translating data into actionable insights.
Applicants generate and visualize data as a basis for developing suitable strategies and roadmaps, while constantly further developing our workflows. They are able to not generate the data, but graphically convey the key messages as major input for consultancy and planning projects.Key Responsibilities:Setting up climate and nature related simulations.Running and validating climatic analysis (LST, UTCI, wind, shadow etc.).Engage in analysis and simulations of various fields (e.g. biodiversity).Translate findings into actionable reports and storylines informing our teams and clients.Proactively further develop workflows and innovate around related topics.Cultivate cooperation in our Research Team and the LAND Group.What We Need From You:A Master degree in Landscape Design, Architecture, Planning or similar disciplines.At least 2 years of experience in climate simulation environments.Strong communication skills in English (additionally Italian and/or German are encouraged).In-depth knowledge of the suitable office softwares (Office, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD.Essential is the knowledge of Grasshopper, Rhino and associated climate simulations and ecosystem analysis tools as well as GIS.Familiarity with Python, C# and/or game engines is a plus.Availability to work and take part to activities in Milan and in the locations of project workshops.Good organizational, time management, and initiative qualities.Why You Should Join Us:Work in an inspiring, green-centered office environment with flexible, modern work arrangements.Participate and grow in way leading international projects that drive the international discussion on sustainable urban development.Benefit from continuous learning opportunities through in-house training, international workshops, and team-building events.Experience a balanced work-life approach with flexible home-office options.At LAND, we don’t just create landscapes; we strive to reconnect people with nature in innovative ways every day.
