The Junior Computer and Information Research Scientist will support data visualization and analytical initiatives. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree with a business or data visualization background; some consulting experience is preferred but not required
1-3 years of experience working in a business environment, experience with Tableau Desktop is preferred
Desirable: Tableau, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Works collaboratively as a team member and with program clients
Excellent planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to gather and analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and suggest improvement opportunities
Makes decisions and uses initiative
Ability to adapt to changes as our programs are modernized
Meeting with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business processes that will inform/impact the creation of dashboard.
Coordinating with non-technical users to gather requirements, summarize and catalog data issues, and data entry into the tableau systems.
1-3 years of experience working in a business environment, experience with
Tableau Desktop experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Provide data visualization and analytical support
Support the identification, cleaning, transformation, and reporting of complex datasets to make information useful to decision-makers
Prepare and utilize data sets to create Tableau dashboards for a diverse set of users with varying technical capabilities
Conduct open-source analysis and reporting to supplement customer-provided data reporting
Transform data in Tableau (e.g., Level of Detail (LOD) expressions), joining, and querying datasets using Tableau’s interface with mentorship provided
Create interactive dashboards that may include hyperlinked tooltips, buttons, and parameters
Meet with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business processes that will inform/impact the creation of dashboards
Coordinate with non-technical users to gather requirements, summarize and catalog data issues, and perform data entry into the Tableau systems
