ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • MS degree in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on computer vision
  • Strong skills on C++ and Python
  • Strong background in computer vision, machine learning, and image processing
  • Confidence with version control tools (specifically git)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, positive and innovative attitude
  • Good in time and priority management
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Strong focus on stakeholder needs and expectations

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Experience with motion capture
  • Knowledge of ROS, Docker, Nvidia Jetson
  • TensorFlow and TensorRT
  • Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
  • Possess analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset
Responsibilities

You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity.
he Human-Robot Interfaces and Interaction (HRI2) Research line is coordinated by Dr. Arash Ajoudani, who has extensive experience in physical human-robot interaction, mobile manipulation, robust and adaptive control, assistive robotics, and tele-robotics.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • optimising and refine computer vision algorithms and techniques to improve accuracy and efficiency (related to the motion capture field)
  • collaborate with other engineers and researchers to integrate computer vision solutions into the overall system
  • benchmark existing motion capture solutions with the goal of developing cutting edge research in this field
